(hopefully at high speed) The gear sensor helps achieve smoother gear changes by pausing the motor during shifts. The kit includes brake levers for cable brakes, but with hydraulic brakes or integrated gear-brake units, you need to attach brake sensors. These sensors stop the motor when braking to prevent conflict with the brakes. Warranty Plus using the sine wave Adappto the motor should run more efficient and cooler than running a Chinese square wave ebike controller.

This is my ‘old school’ screen. It worked as a power-sipper on older BBSHD motors. It does not work the same as it did – probably due to a change in motor firmware on motors manufactured in the last few years. We are offering it for people who know what they are doing and will be responsible with this kind of power (know what gear to ride in, understand battery limits, etc).I am not showing original factory settings. Your motor may have settings your vendor considers proprietary. So I am showing screens I have altered and then calling out the bits I consider important.

We were hitting speeds of 35mph the acceleration was super brisk when on the street….but most amazing is how quiet and smooth the bike was. Just amazing. The motor still uses a nylon primary gear, that can degrade over time (particularly with heavy use). Replacements are easy enough to find, and there are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube for stripping this motor down. Some riders are able to achieve speeds of 40+mph! Our 750W BBS02 motors meet the power needs and wants of the majority of riders. It is your responsibility as the rider to follow applicable local and federal traffic and ebike laws. Consider yourselves forewarned. What this translates to is the BBSHD will produce more torque, have better heat dissipation (and reliability?) and produce more peak power. This is up to 160N.m against 120N.m for the 750w. The bigger motor spins faster – 130-150 rpm (120 rpm for the 750w) and has a reduction ratio of 1:21.9You have a range of pedal assist levels. It can be 0-3, 0-5 or 0-9. I recommend 0-9 for more fine tuned control.
