Description

As well as being able to adjust vibration strength (which felt fine to me out of the box, even though it can’t match HD rumble on Switch), the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro has several other big tricks up its sleeve.

The excellent 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller uses GuliKit’s own tech to avoid drift, while also having a robust app for tweaking sensitivity and enabling other features. The new one will specify that it is version 2 in the title and the updated version of the older model will just simply say it's the updated version and not say PRO2. Designed with a patented anti-drift technology that uses magnets to manoeuvre the analog stick to reduce wear and tear, this controller has just about everything you could ask for, while also promising to never move like Beyoncé, and drift to the left, to the left. I like that it easily lets you switch between 3 devices (iOS/Android, Switch, and PC as a controller or as a mouse/keyboard). This is the first piece I’ve ever written where I made sure not to swear or be harsh to the maker of a product because I see the potential of your controller and I believe that you can make this controller a work of art that obsoletes any controller compatible with PC with the right fixes, and obsoletes all Switch controllers, possibly forcing Nintendo to actually try to compete with your line of products and making a better controller ecosystem for anyone who owns a Switch.

Magnetic sticks are great and all, but that's a Pro Controller, which as far as I know don't commonly suffer from stick drift. No matter which game I made a gyro aim template for in Steam, everything drifted up and to the right. Update: Thanks to a very helpful comment suggesting I update the controller despite GuliKit’s own site telling me not to, the gyroscope lag on Switch is completely negligible. Additionally it's possible to set stick sensitivity setting, ZL/ ZR sensitivity setting and PC/Android motion sense aim assist. It’s also promising to see that GuliKit is keeping with its innovation ethos in this space and I look forward to what they come up with next.Cheat Codes Add and Request group The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom cheat codes Pokémon Legends: Arceus cheat codes Xenoblade Chronicles 3 cheat codes Fire Emblem Engage cheat codes Request a cheat. It gives you a good game immersion not only to motion sensing video games, but also to those games with no original motion sense, especially FPS games. If you have used this feature before you’ll know how handy it can be, and it works very quickly and efficiently here. The controller can switch between XInput mode, Switch mode, Mobile mode and DirectInput mode by holding down the mode button for 2 seconds. Until this gyroscope is fixed, it’s useless to Splatoon players which accounts for a large chunk of the Nintendo Switch’s audience.

The controller itself is about the same size as a Switch Pro Controller and has the same layout to it. It is important to use our products in accordance with the provided guidelines and instructions to prevent such issues. I’m aware this piece has been an evisceration of the controller, but it has some fantastic qualities and great intent for the consumer experience. The weight is nice as it’s noticeable enough that you’re feeling something in your hands, but not too heavy to leave your wrists tired either. Patented Low Power Technology provides only 50% power of original carbon film joystick for more power saving and longer gaming session. With joysticks that won't suffer stick drift, a plethora of connectivity options, a sleek (if familiar) design, tons of customization options, and even amiibo support, the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro may lack fancy software and accessories, but it delivers on quality, versatility, and hides a few tricks to help you "cheat" your way to victory. Minus the HD Rumble, this controller does EVERYTHING else that the Switch Pro Controller do but MORE. You absolutely shouldn’t use this for Splatoon in any way if you already have a Switch Pro Controller.

It comes in a nice plastic case that really helps if you want to take a controller with you in your bag. Disappointing triggers and limited customization hold it back from perfection, but the KingKong 2 Pro still pulls far ahead of the pack. The other killer feature is the burst mode, which can be used as a turbo option for full auto until you press a button again, or a quick burst of taps for 20 seconds. Unlike most reviewers, I held off on reviewing it until I could finally nail down my opinion after daily-driving it for months. What it does come bundled with is a USB-C cable, a bunch of extremely important paperwork (we’ll get to why later), and a translucent plastic carry case.
