Description

George's naughty behaviour will be familiar to dog-lovers, and is sure to resonate with children, who will soon find themselves giggling over this gorgeous picture book, and joining in with the repeated refrain of 'Oh no, George!

This illustrations are simple but "funny as all get out", and I fell I love with the expressions on George's face! There are three temptations in the book a cake, cat, and flowers which each appear twice in the book. e dog meets temptation, asks moral question, reader is asked what they think will happen and then George gives in to the temptation. This board book is small and has thick board pages that are filled with colourful illustrations and some text. It operates as a non profit and aims to connect the worlds best designers with fair trade organisations.

Bold, bright illustrations and a story filled with a repeated phrase – “Oh no, George” – brought so much infectious glee to our two year old. The end of the story has a question asking what George will do as he looks tempted this time to go into the rubbish bin. This work speaks to the same moral questions as Lobel's classic treatment of the interplay of desire and self-mastery, "Cookies" in Frog and Toad Together. It is delightful for the tinies and delightful for the grown-ups, and its charm does not diminish on repeated readings which is vital in a kids' book. Adapted from the award-winning picture book by Chris Haughton, this brand new show for everyone aged 3+ uses acrobatics, slapstick comedy, Sign Supported English and live music to bring George’s chaotic and joyful escapades to life. This book at first appears to be a simple story of a dog being left at home, but it is so much more than that as the reader gets pulled into George’s emotions of excitement, deliberation, naughtiness, and remorse. J'aime aussi les habiletés de pré-lecture qu'elle développe en feuilletant le livre elle-même et en étant en mesure de relater l'action dans ses mots: "Oh non, George il mange le gâteau!

Howlingly funny, its luridly elegant illustrations will be in frequent demand; ideal for parents and grandparents to read aloud. As well as then abstaining from the same temptation later as he has learned his lesson allows discussion with the child about moral choices and why it is important to be good, especially when you have said you would be. Chris Haughton’s fetchingly funny story and vibrant, retro illustrations are sure to lure dog lovers of all ages — and anyone who has ever met a temptation too good to resist. He means well, but temptation keeps getting the best of him and before he knows it, the whole house is a mess! The subject to which George is about to approach is illustrated in full block colour whilst the scenery around it is thin and linear. There is an orange theme throughout most of the illustrations although there are some contrasting colours and I just love the way the whole book looks. Not only is it entertaining and a very beautiful book, it has been invaluable in instituting boundaries with him in a humorous way - I jus.
