One of the main characteristics of the cameras is their image resolution. It states the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the image, which can also be shown in megapixels that indicate the approximate number of pixels in millions. The Scene optimizer can bump the saturation up one notch, but it's a subtle difference with barely deeper blues and ever so slightly warmer greens in these scenes of ours. The aperture (f-stop number) indicates the size of the lens diaphragm opening, which controls the amount of light reaching the image sensor. The lower the f-stop number, the larger the diaphragm opening is, hence, the more light reaches the sensor. Usually, the f-stop number specified is the one that corresponds to the maximum possible diaphragm opening. Things are a bit different for the Galaxy A51 5G. That's because it's powered by the Exynos 980 instead. This is Samsung's very own mid-range 8nm chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The CPU is configured with two 2.2GHz Cortex-A77 cores and six 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The handset is available with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It actually gets faster UFS2.1 storage compared to UFS2.0 on the LTE model. The unit we tested has 6GB RAM. It's harder to justify the €650 price of the LG Velvet against the Galaxy, if it's solely for the 5G. The Velvet does offer IP68-rated dust and water resistance and stereo speakers, but unless you can get it in a bundle with the Dual Screen and have some use for said Dual Screen, LG's posh midranger isn't great value.

One of the main characteristics of the display is its type/technology, on which depends its performance.Crop factor is the ratio of the dimensions of a full frame camera's sensor (36 x 24 mm, which equals the frame size of a 35 mm film) and the dimensions of the image sensor of the device. The number shown is the ratio between the diagonals of a full frame sensor (43.3 mm) and the sensor in question. System on Chip (SoC) A system on a chip (SoC) includes into a single chip some of the main hardware components of the mobile device. SoC The 48MP mode lets you extract some more fine detail in well-lit scenes. You'd need to be willing to live with the lower contrast and loss of saturation plus noise gets more prominent. But yes, there's some finer detail in the 48MP shots. Pixels are usually measured in microns (μm). Larger ones are capable of recording more light, hence, will offer better low light shooting and wider dynamic range compared to the smaller pixels. On the other hand, smaller pixels allow for increasing the resolution while preserving the same sensor size. The macro cam does a fair job of producing close-up shots of tiny objects. The 5MP resolution we appreciate, but the fixed focus means you need to nail the distance just right and it's not always that easy.

Information about the width, i.e. the horizontal side of the device when it is used in its standard orientation. You do get basic wired headphones in the box which will get the job done. There's Dolby Atmos support for Bluetooth and wired audio which helps improve the audio experience marginally. There are no complaints about the call audio. Calls come in nice and crisp with sufficient volume at the top end. As was the case on the Galaxy A51, the A51 5G doesn't record 60fps video. It does capture 4K and 1080p at 30fps with both of its rear cams as well as the selfie shooter. Samsung is bringing 5G to the masses with the Galaxy A51 5G and the Galaxy A71 5G. We have the smaller one for review to find out what's changed from the 4G version with the inclusion of the next-gen connectivity. There’s nothing out of the ordinary or particularly complex about setting up the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, so even if you haven’t set up a new phone in years or this is your first Samsung, nothing should throw you for a loop. UMTS stands for Universal Mobile Telecommunications System. Based on the GSM standard, it is deemed as a 3G mobile network standard. It has been developed by the 3GPP and its major advantage is the provision of greater bandwidth and spectral efficiency, due to the W-CDMA technology. SM-A515F, SM-A515F/DSN, SM-A515F/DS, SM-A515F/DST, SM-A515F/DSM, SM-A515F/N, SM-A515U, SM-A515U1, SM-A515W, SM-A515X, SM-S515DL There aren't many noticeable differences between the LTE Galaxy A51 and its 5G sibling but the few that exist warrant a fresh review of the device. Let's dive into our Galaxy A51 5G review. The Galaxy A51 5G looks just like the LTE variant, no surprises there, but there is a subtle change. Since this is a more “upmarket” version of the device, Samsung has swapped out plastic from the frame for aluminum. This makes the device feel more premium in the hand and it's a welcome change.
