Description

In our opinion, the Simplex is yesterday’s waterproof detector, but the X-TERRA PRO is the waterproof detector of today, and for the foreseeable future. We’re not going to spend a huge amount of time comparing the three Vanquish detectors and the new range of Simplex now (more on that in another blog) but instead want to see how the new X-TERRA PRO will change the marketplace for those looking to buy their first machine, or those looking for a specific detecting experience. Vibration feature, which is a very useful regimen for any user, for example, in public places, or underwater. While vibration is not something supernaturally advanced, it is usually absent in budget-friendly machines.

The very successful Simplex waterproof housing is praised by metal detectorists worldwide for its ruggedness waterproofness. It's lightweight, durable, and compact, folds down to 63cm (25 inches). Simplex+ is waterproof and can be used underwater on the depth of up to 10 feet. Logically enough, it supports wireless headphones. Also, vibration mode is available, which is extremely cool when you’re underwater. Vibration mode instead of audio signal is also handy in places where you do not want to make much noise.

Second Hand Metal Detectors – The Pros & Cons

Ferrous metals signal volume. You can make it higher or lower, or simply set it silent, to remove signals to ferrous metals targets altogether The first waterproof metal detector on the market offering extreme depth and high-end features at an entry-level price! So, what does the Nokta Makro Simplex + give you at a glance? It gives you very capable single frequency technology machine with some quite sophisticated software and an 11 inch DD coil.

To give you a very rough idea about the new metal detector – Nokta Simplex is a cheap (comparatively, of course, but still), both for ground and water search, and very easy to operate. Plus, it is compatible with wireless headphones, and has a DD coil in the kit.

Minelab X-TERRA PRO vs Nokta Simplex

It still however is a single frequency machine. Currently, multi frequency technology is the talk of the town. SIMPLY UNRIVALLED THE FIRST WATERPROOF DETECTOR ON THE MARKET OFFERING EXTREME DEPTH AND HIGH-END FEATURES AT AN ENTRY-LEVEL PRICE! SIMPLE ENOUGH FOR BEGINNERS, YET IMPRESSIVE ENOUGH FOR EXPERTS! As ever with our detector comparison blogs, there is no ‘right’ answer. What works for you, won’t work for everyone and there will be a range of reasons for everyone making their own choices. At Crawfords Metal Detectors hope to help you find the machine that’s right for you. If you’re short on time, skip to the end of the blog now to read the summary, and for those who want to know it all, please take 6-8 minutes to read through our assessment. With the beaches and rivers being one of the key terrains for these machines waterproofmay be of more importance than we normally stress. At Crawfords Metal Detectors we sell a variety of detectors ranging from machines which only have a waterproof coil such as the Go Findand the high performance Vanquish range, to detectors specifically created for underwater detecting, such as the Excalibur II. Detectors like the Excalibur II are pressurised, and ideal for diving, and extreme underwater conditions (depth of 66 metres – 200ft). However, in the UK we find that due to our disappointing climate (let’s be honest, we do love the rain) and fairly cloudy waters that not many detectorists stray more than a few metres into the surf.
